Sylvia Earns MASCAC Player of the Week Honors
WESTFIELD, MA -- Monday afternoon, the MASCAC announced their weekly baseball awards. For the first time in 2022, Buccaneers shortstop Zach Sylvia was named Conference Player of the Week for his outstanding performance at the plate last week.
Sylvia batted .474 (9-19) with two doubles, a triple, seven RBI, six runs scored, a walk, stolen base and .684 slugging percentage in a 5-0 week for the Buccaneers. Went 3-for-5 with three RBI in the 4-3 win over Bridgewater State. Went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI and three runs scored in the doubleheader sweep of MCLA. Went 3-for-5 with two runs scored, RBI and a stolen base in the 7-3 win over the Trailblazers.
