Dean Named MASCAC Rookie of the Week
WESTFIELD, MA -- Monday afternoon, the MASCAC announced their weekly baseball awards selections. Buccaneer freshman, Hunter Dean, was picked as the league's Rookie of The Week.
Dean was selected as this week's MASCAC Rookie of The Week for the first time in his career. Dean appeared in two games on the mound for the Bucs this week, throwing 7.1 innings allowing one hit and walking two while striking out nine hitters. Against Clark he pitched 3.1 innings with two walks and five strikeouts. Against Rivier, he pitched four innings, struck out four, allowed one hits and recorded his first collegiate pitching victory for the Bucs.
