BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Tuesday afternoon, the Bucs hosted Eastern Nazarene in their final tune up before conference play begins this weekend against Framingham State. The 19-3 Lions came to Taylor's Point and left with a 10-3 win over the Buccaneers.

• Aidan Henderson, Chris Perito, and Evan Vieira each had a hit for the Bucs in the loss.
• Perito drove in two runs thanks to his double, the only extra base hit for the Bucs.
• Henderson, Perito, and Aidan Weir each scored a run.
• Perito stole two bases and Weir stole one.

Eastern Nazarene

• Francis Ferguson led all players with four hits.
• Elvis Rojas, Anderson Jiminez, Eduardo Labour, and Brandon Guerrero all had three hits.
• Ferguson and Labour each drove in three runs in the win.
• Rojas scored three times, Ferguson, Jaime Roldan, and Jiminez each scored twice.
• Roldan and Jiminez each had two doubles, Rojas had one and Ferguson hit a triple for six Lions extra base hits.
• Rojas stole three bags, Tyler Bean, Ferguson and Guerrero each stole one.

How It Happened

The Lions scored first in the top of the first to take an early 1-0 lead. They added to that lead in the top of the third scoring two runs to go up 3-0.

In the bottom of the third, Maritime scored a run on a steal of third by Perito that the catcher threw into left field allowing Perito to score on the error.

Up 3-1 after three, the Lions added four in the fourth to take a commanding 7-1 lead. The Bucs answered in the bottom of the frame on a Perito double that brought around Weir and Henderson to score.

Up 7-3, Eastern Nazarene plated two in the sixth to make it 9-3. Later in the game, they scored in the top of the ninth to make it 10-3 that went on to be the final score of the game.

What's Next

The Buccaneers open a three-game conference series with Framingham State on the road on Friday afternoon at 4pm before returning home on Saturday for a doubleheader against the Rams beginning at 12pm.
