How It Happened

Curry struck first in the top of the first on a Marshall single to left to score Jaume. The Colonels held the Bucs off in the bottom of the first to hold their 1-0 lead through one.

In the second, the Bucs set the Colonels down and proceeded to take the lead in the bottom of the frame. Vieira singled to left center to score Leslie followed by Perito grounding out to second base which brought in Estrada.

Maritime extended their lead in the bottom of the fourth on Vieira's second single and second RBI. He singled down the right field driving in Estrada.

In the top of the fifth, Curry brough the game back even and took a two-run lead. Peralta singled through the left side bringing in two runs. Jackson singled to right center to bring in Heggs, and Calderon reached on a fielder's choice that brought in Peralta to score from third. Down two, the Bucs grabbed a run back in the bottom of the fifth when Pietrafesa singled to right to plate Sylvia.

Down 5-4, Maritime didn't allow a run in the sixth to the Colonels. In the bottom of the frame they plated seven runs, all unearned to the pitcher, to take what would eventually be the final score, 11-5. The inning included Henderson's triple down the right field line that emptied the bases bringing in three runs.
