Historic Buccaneers Softball Season Ends in Playoffs

WORCESTER, Mass -- The Buccaneers softball team appeared in the MASCAC Playoff Tournament for the first time in program history on Wednesday afternoon. The Bucs historic and record breaking season came to an end at the hands of the Lancers by a final of 6-1.

How It Happened

The Buccaneers took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a Patane single that scored Booker from second.

The Buccaneers held their lead through the second inning and in the bottom of the third Worcester scored twice to take a 2-1 lead.

The Bucs were unable to score and run the rest of the game despite getting multiple runners in scoring position. Worcester went on to score four in the bottom of the sixth and won the game 6-1.

 

The Buccaneers season came to an end with countless team and individual records broken as well as recording their highest win total ever, highest conference win total ever and came to an end with their first playoff appearance ever.
