Welcome to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Buccaneer softball recruiting page. Here you will find all the materials you will need to become a Buccaneer. Below is our "Recruit me" form for you to fill out and our prospect to-do list. 

The Recruit Me form is for current and prospective athletes who are interested in starting the recruiting process for the Mass Maritime softball team. Please make sure the form is filled out thoroughly.

Read carefully through all of the steps in the to-do list and make sure to complete all steps. Our coaching staff will be in contact with you after receiving your completed questionnaire. Thank you for your interest in Buccaneer softball!

Softball Prospect To Do List 

  1. Fill out our on-line recruiting form: CLICK HERE
  2. Send Email of a current transcript with SAT or ACT scores if available to Head Coach Will Griffiths at wgriffiths@maritime.edu
  3. Inform your High School Head Coach that you have an interest in MMA Softball.
  4. Set up a visit: Contact your Recruiting Coach or Coach Griffiths at (774) 259-6858 / wgriffiths@maritime.edu to set up a visit, so that we can sit down with you to discuss how an MMA education and athletic experience may benefit you.
  5. Apply to MMA: Applying as soon as possible will benefit you. Applications will start being reviewed in November of each year. Please call the admissions department at (800) 544-3411 with any questions. Apply by adding us to your common app or through the Academy directly by clicking HERE. 
  6. Attend one of our home games: Come see us in action and get a feel for the game day atmosphere at Alison Rollins Field; email or call Coach Griffiths at wgriffiths@maritime.edu or 508-830-5404.
  7. Investigate the financial aid process (MMA FAFSA Code: 002181): Find out how much it will cost for you to attend MMA. Be aware of any paperwork and deadlines associated with the financial aid process. Contact our financial aid office at (508) 830-5087 with any questions.
  8. Commit to MMA Softball: Contact Coach Griffiths at (774) 259-6858

Thinking about transferring to Massachu

setts Maritime Academy? If you are currently participating or have already participated in a sport at another four year institution, you may need to fill out a release form before you can speak with one of our coaches. You can find the self-release form here.

Student-athletes at two-year institutions do not need permission to contact our coaches and may do so at any time.
