NANTUCKET, MA - Each year sailors from around the world, whether they be collegiate teams like the Maritime Bucs, high school teams, casual sailors to the more competitive type, compete in the Figawi Race from Hyannis to Nantucket on Memorial Day weekend. Teams are put in to divisions and compete to see who can get to the little island of Nantucket first before engaging in post-race festivities. 

This year, the Buccaneer competed in Division two in their boat "Weather Gauge" against 12 other competitors. The Bucs finished sixth overall in their division. 

The Figawi marks the unofficial end of the Buccaneers season and they will begin their highly competitive Fall season in September of 2023.
