NEWPORT, R.I. -- Sunday afternoon, the Buccaneers sailed three boats in the Salve Sunday Invite in Rhode Island. The Bucs finished 10th, 13th, and 14th in a field of 19 FJs in the event.

The top Maritime boat finished with 118 points with 67 points in the first division of races and an improved 51 points in the second division. The top Maritime boat finished five points behind McGill University in 9th and were five points ahead of a UNH boat in 11th.

The other two Buc boats in the event finished in 13th and 14th with 187 and 199 points respectively. The boat in 13th finished seven points behind a Savle boat and the 14th placed boat finished two points ahead of a UNH Boat. 

The Bucs top boat finished the day with three top five finishes, including a second and third place finish in the second division of races to close out the day.

Maritime is scheduled to host the New England Dinghy Tournament on Saturday April 8th and Sunday April 9th on Great Herring Pond in Plymouth.
