South Kingstown, R.I. -- The Buccaneers dinghy team took part in the Southern 7 Fleet Race at URI this weekend and finished fifth out of seven teams in the regatta.

Boston University won the event with 69 points and hosts URI finished second with 84 points. Tufts rounded out the top three with 86 points.

The Buccaneers finished fifth with 164 points, 22 points ahead of Salve Regina in sixth. The Bucs picked up two top five finishes in the 18 events finishing third late in the day with each of their boats. the Bucs were 18 points behind the fourth place finishers Northeastern.
