PLYMOUTH, Mass -- Over Easter Weekend the Buccaneer dinghy sailing team hosted the New England Dinghy Tournament on Great Herring Pond. In a field of six teams the Bucs ran away with the victory by more than 20 points.

Maritime dominated the field over the weekend winning 10 of 18 events on the pond. They finished top five in every single event with 16 top three finishes. They totaled 32 points, 24 points better than the second place finishers from Maine Maritime who totaled 56 points.

Rounding out the top three was UNH with 63 points and in fourth was Middleybury College with 64 points. UMass Amherst and Bates College rounded out the field with 78 and 85 points respectively. 

With the win the Buccaneers, along with second place finished Maine Maritime, qualify for the New England Dinghy Championships.
