Harrison Notches Eight Kills, 10 Digs As Volleyball Drops 3-0 Senior Night Decision To Eastern Nazarene

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Sophomore Courtney McCarthy (Merrimack, N.H.) registered 14 kills and eight digs to lead Eastern Nazarene to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-13 in a match played Wednesday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

 

Freshman Jenna Meacham (Millington, Mich.) added 12 digs and five kills in the triumph for the visiting Lions (11-17), who received a combined nine kills from sophomores Jaclyn Teed (Lansdale, Pa.) and Hailee Owen (South Portland, Maine).  Senior Kayla Dean (Lansdale, Pa.) collected 24 set assists, nine digs and a pair of kills for Eastern Nazarene, which received seven digs each from seniors Oksana DiCamillo (Eighty-Four, Pa.) and Madisen Robinson (West Grove, Pa.).

 

Sophomore Marie Harrison (Weymouth, Mass.) notched eight kills and 10 digs in the setback for the host Buccaneers (3-24), which received five kills and six digs from freshman Kaylee Tolman (East Sandwich, Mass.).  Sophomore Michelle Sheehan (Attleboro, Mass.) recorded 14 set assists and six digs for Massachusetts Maritime, which received six digs from senior Kaleigh Hoffman (Noblesville, Ind.) as well as three digs and a pair of kills from freshman Maddie Coughlin (Monroe, Conn.).

 

Massachusetts Maritime travels to North Adams, Mass. on Saturday afternoon for a doubleheader with MCLA beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Eastern Nazarene heads to Beverly, Mass. on Saturday afternoon for a tri-match with Rivier and host Endicott that also begins at 1:00 p.m.
