BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Kaitlyn Anderson (Clinton, Conn.) notched a double-double effort of 16 kills and 16 digs to lead Dean to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-21, 25-12 and 25-15 in a match played Monday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Freshman Aminah Tsonga (Plainville, Conn.) added 10 kills, nine digs and three service aces in the triumph for the visiting Bulldogs (11-12), who received 16 digs and six kills from sophomore Sami Mulcahy (Taunton, Mass.).  Sophomore Melanie Rios-Nevarez (Vega Alta, P.R.) recorded 29 set assists and 14 digs for Dean, which received seven digs from freshman Paola Gonzalez (Southbridge, Mass.).

Sophomore Marie Harrison (Weymouth, Mass.) registered a double-double effort of 11 kills and 13 digs in the setback for the host Buccaneers (3-23), who received seven kills and six digs from freshman Kaylee Tolman (East Sandwich, Mass.).  Sophomore Michelle Sheehan (Attleboro, Mass.) posted 16 set assists, 10 digs and three kills for Massachusetts Maritime, which received 18 digs, three set assists and pair of kills from freshman Maddie Coughlin (Monroe, Conn.), 22 digs from sophomore Tina Ruggeri (Bourne, Mass.) and five digs from freshman Casey Sullivan (Sagamore Beach, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Eastern Nazarene in a non-league outing on Wednesday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Dean hosts Lesley in a non-league clash on Wednesday evening in Franklin, Mass. that also begins at 7:00 p.m.
