FRANKLIN, Mass. --  Junior Kaitlyn Anderson (Clinton, Conn.) registered nine kills and eight digs to lead Dean to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-23 in a match played Friday evening at Pieri Gymnasium.

Freshman Aminah Tsonga (Plainville, Conn.) added 10 digs, five kills and a pair of service aces in the win for the host Bulldogs (5-5), who received six digs and three kills from sophomore Sami Mulcahy (Taunton, Mass.).  Sophomore Melanie Rios-Nevarez (Vega Alta, P.R.) collected 19 set assists, six digs and four service aces for Dean, which received three kills from freshman Paola Gonzalez (Southbridge, Mass.).

Junior Jennifer Roy (Attleboro, Mass.) notched a game-high 11 kills in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (1-11), who received eight digs and six kills from sophomore Marie Harrison (Weymouth, Mass.) along with four kills and three digs from freshman Maddie Coughlin (Monroe, Conn.).  Sophomore Michelle Sheehan (Attleboro, Mass.) chipped in with 20 set assists and three digs for Massachusetts Maritime, which received 14 digs from sophomore Tina Ruggeri (Bourne, Mass.), 11 digs from senior Kaleigh Hoffman (Noblesville, Ind.) as well as eight digs and a pair of kills from freshman Casey Sullivan (Sagamore Beach, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Worcester State and Pine Manor in a tri-match tomorrow afternoon at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Dean heads to Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Tuesday evening to square off with Pine Manor in a non-league match that begins at 7:00 p.m.
