Langley, Brain Record Two Kills Each As Volleyball Drops MASCAC Decision To Framingham State

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Freshman Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.) notched nine kills to lead Framingham State to a 3-0 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Friday evening by game scores of 25-7, 25-13 and 25-6 in a match played at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

 

Sophomore Danielle Girard (Tivoli, N.Y.) added eight kills and four service aces in the triumph for the visiting Rams (11-2, 2-0 MASCAC), who also received six kills, seven digs and five service aces from freshman Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) as well as three kills each from senior Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) and sophomore Annie DeLoid (Plymouth, Mass.).  Junior Maribeth Martin (Barnstable, Mass.) collected 14 set assists for the winners, who also received 10 set assists from junior Morgan Drew (North Easton, Mass.).

 

Junior Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) and freshman Meaghan Brain (Hanson, Mass.) each recorded a pair of kills in the setback for the host Buccaneers (2-11, 0-2 MASCAC), who also received six digs from freshman Stephanie O’Connor (Westwood, Mass.) as well as a kill each from juniors Meghan Weir (North Andover, Mass.) and Danielle Soar (Templeton, Mass.).

 

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Castleton, Vt. on Saturday afternoon for a non-league doubleheader with Castleton that begins at 2:00 p.m., while Framingham State travels to Cambridge, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on host MIT and Smith in a non-league tri-match that also begins at 2:00 p.m.
