Volleyball Looks To Climb Ladder Of MASCAC Success In Taking On 26-Match Slate Under Veteran Mentor Ratches
With 11 letterwinners and five starters back in the fold this fall, the Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team is looking to climb the ladder of success in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference under the guidance of veteran Head Coach Chris Ratches, as the Buccaneers are set to tackle the challenges of a 26-match schedule.
Massachusetts Maritime begins the 2013 slate on Thursday, September 5th by heading to Paxton, Mass. to take on Anna Maria in a non-league outing that begins at 7:00 p.m. EDT, and the Buccaneers open home play on Tuesday, September 10th by entertaining Suffolk in a non-league clash inside the Clean Harbors Athletic Center that also begins at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
In addition to the Suffolk contest, Ratches’ crew will host Gordon, Pine Manor and Becker in non-league play in Buzzards Bay while also playing host to Framingham State, Westfield State and Salem State in MASCAC home action. Massachusetts Maritime will participate in three tri-matches during the fall and will also head to Castine, Maine during the weekend of September 14-15 to compete in the Fourth Annual Maritime Classic with both SUNY-Maritime and host Maine Maritime.
