Blanton Earns Second All-Conference Nod
WESTFIELD, Mass -- Tuesday afternoon, the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference announced their 2023 Women's Soccer All-Conference teams. For the second straight season, Buccaneers women's soccer defender Taylor Blanton has been named to the All-MASCAC Second Team after her outstanding 2023 season and has cemented herself as one of the top eight defenders in the league over the past two seasons.
Blanton played in 14 games this season for Maritime and is recognized around the MASCAC as one of the best defenders in the conference for her play on the backline preventing attacking play and transitioning the Bucs in to the offensive end. She netted one goal this season and had an assists, the first of her career.
Her performance on the field, in conjunction with the play of her teammates, helped the Bucs to their first-ever playoff appearance this season.
