WESTFIELD, Mass -- The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletics Conference released their weekly awards on Monday afternoon and Buccaneers women's soccer freshman foward Ayla Santoro has been named the conference Rookie of the Week.

Santoro scored her first career goal on Saturday in the Bucs 2-1 conference victory over MCLA. Her goal came in the 42nd minute of the match to give the Buccaneers a 1-0 lead going in to the halftime break. In the game, Ayla took a total of five shots in the game, three on target including the goal.
