BOSTON, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team dropped a 3-0 non-league decision to Suffolk on Thursday evening by game scores of 25-14, 25-23 and 25-1 in a match played at Regan Gymnasium.

Freshman Kelsey Black (Plympton, Mass.) registered five kills and six digs in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (1-9), who also received eight digs from sophomore Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.), five digs from freshman Marissa Boudreau (New Bedford, Mass.) and two solo blocks from freshman Emily Calnan (Hingham, Mass.).

The host Rams improve to 5-6 overall on the season with the triumph.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Weston, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on Wentworth and host Regis in a non-league tri-match that begins at 1:00 p.m., while Suffolk travels to Paxton, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on Great Northeast Athletic Conference foe Anna Maria and Castleton in a tri-match that also begins at 1:00 p.m.
