Burgess-Chrost Notches Pair Of Kills And Six Digs As Volleyball Drops 3-0 Non-League Decision At Lesley

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --  Senior Kaitlyn Miller (Leesport, Pa.) and sophomore Danielle Johnson (Waterford, Conn.) each registered nine kills to lead Lesley to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Thursday evening by game scores of 25-15, 25-14 and 25-9 in a match played at the Nicholas Athletic Center.

Sophomore Alyson Finbow (Fair Lawn, N.J.) added four kills in the triumph for the host Lynx (6-11), who also received 15 digs from freshman Danielle McDonald (Lititz, Pa.) as well as 11 set assists and five service aces from sophomore Rachel Frederickson (Marstons Mills, Mass.).

Senior Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) notched pair of kills to go with four service aces and six digs in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (2-23), who also received a kill and three digs from sophomore Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) as well as four digs from junior Michaela Garrity (Tiverton, R.I.).

Massachusetts Maritime closes out its 2012 schedule next Wednesday evening when the Buccaneers entertain Worcester State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference match at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Lesley hosts Becker in a New England Collegiate Conference outing tomorrow evening at the Nicholas Athletic Center beginning at 8:00 p.m.
