With nine letterwinners back in the fold, the Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team will have a plethora of experience returning for the upcoming 2012 season, as Head Coach Chris Ratches will guide her squad through a 28-match regular season slate this fall.

The Buccaneers will open Ratches’ ninth overall campaign on Thursday, September 6^th when Massachusetts Maritime hosts Anna Maria in a non-league outing at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 7:00 p.m. EDT.  The Bucs will play 12 total home contests this season, including tri-matches with Becker and MCLA on Columbus Day and with Castleton and Albertus Magnus on October 11^th.  In addition, Massachusetts Maritime will host the Third Annual Maritime Classic on September 15-16, as Ratches’ crew welcomes Maine Maritime, Merchant Marine and SUNY-Maritime for the two-day tournament.

The Buccaneers will open MASCAC play on Tuesday, September 11^th at Framingham State, as Massachusetts Maritime will host Bridgewater State, MCLA and Worcester State in league play while also heading to Salem State and Westfield State for conference action.
