Men's Lacrosse in LEC Postseason Tournament

BUZZARDS BAY, MA -- With the Bucs 25-13 win over Salem State on Tuesday, the team clinched their first playoff berth as a member of the Little East Conference in their first official year of competition in the conference. Though the team officially joined the conference in the Summer of 2019, with the 2020 season being shortened and the 2021 season being played out of conference only, the Buccaneers competed in LEC conference play for the first time in 2022.

With a 4-3 conference record going into the team's final regular season game on Friday on the road against Castleton, the Bucs clinched the four seed in the conference tournament which begins on Tuesday, May 3rd. The tournament format sees the one and two seeds receive byes in the first round while the three seed hosts the six seed and the four seed hosts the five seed. As the four seed, the Buccaneers will play host to either Eastern Connecticut or Plymouth State at Clean Harbors Stadium on Tuesday, May 3rd at 7pm.

In the regular season, Maritime won their games over both Eastern Connecticut and Plymouth. On the road, the Bucs pulled off a comeback win, 14-10, over the Panthers in New Hampshire. Against the Warriors, they won the conference matchup on home turf, 15-11.
