The host Pride (8-5, 4-0 Pilgrim) scored 10 of the first 11 goals of the contest in jumping out to a 12-2 advantage at the break in presenting Head Coach Keith Bugbee with his 300th career victory, as he became the third coach in NCAA Division III history to reach that milestone.  Junior Jarrid Johnson (Orlando, Fla.) and freshman Max Wildes (Kennebunk, Maine) also added hat tricks on the day for Springfield, which received a pair of markers and two assists off the stick of junior Eric Balslov (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.).

Senior Austin Orsini (Webster, N.Y.), junior Matt Hudson (Centereach, N.Y.) and sophomore Jon Santer (East Longmeadow, Mass.) chipped in with a goal and an assist each in the triumph for the Pride, who also received single tallies from seniors Shawn Runyon (Fairport, N.Y.) and Anthony Scarpetti (Lititz, Pa.), junior Parker Geane (Easton, Conn.) and freshman Ryan Murphy (Mansfield, Mass.).  Freshman Ryon Lynch (Frederick, Md.) collected three assists for Springfield, which also received single helpers off the sticks of senior Mark Eaton (Westford, Mass.), sophomore Colby Verge (Derry, N.H.) and freshmen Matt Fleisher (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) and Dom Roberto (Malden, Mass.).

Seniors Jake Bickley (Wilbraham, Mass.) and Chris Davis (Cohasset, Mass.), sophomore Austin Waldron (Hanover, Mass.) and freshman Chris Bergau (Merritt Island, Fla.) each netted single goals in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (3-12, 0-4 Pilgrim), who also received an assist off the stick of sophomore James Burns (Duxbury, Mass.).

Freshmen Robert Maher (Katonah, N.Y.) and Kevin MacBride (Merrick, N.Y.) each made two saves in goal on the afternoon for Springfield, while freshman Jack Murphy (Cohasset, Mass.) made 11 first half stops in the setback for Massachusetts Maritime, which received three saves in the final 30 minutes of play from freshman Paul Painten (Walpole, Mass.).  The Pride outshot the Buccaneers by a 58-9 margin for the contest and won 20 of 28 face-offs on the afternoon.

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Regis in a non-league outing on Tuesday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium beginning at 8:00 p.m., while Springfield hosts MIT in a Pilgrim Lacrosse League match next Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field beginning at 1:00 p.m.
