After posting its highest single-season win total in a decade last fall, the Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team is looking to reach greater heights under the guidance of second year Head Coach Melanie Appleman in 2016.  The Buccaneers are set to tackle a 29-match regular season slate that includes 16 contests to be played inside the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Massachusetts Maritime begins the new campaign on Saturday, September 3^rd with a non-league tri-match against Mitchell and host Eastern Nazarene in Quincy, Mass. at 11:00 a.m. EDT, and the Buccaneers kickoff a nine-match homestand on Thursday, September 8^th by entertaining Nichols at 7:00 p.m. EDT.  Appleman’s squad will also host Curry, Bay Path, Pine Manor, Eastern Nazarene, Becker, Dean and Wentworth in non-conference action this fall on Taylor’s Point, while her crew will travel to Suffolk, Dean, Becker, Pine Manor and WPI for non-league clashes.  Additionally, Massachusetts Maritime will host the Seventh Annual Maritime Classic during the weekend of September 17-18 against rivals Maine Maritime, Merchant Marine and SUNY-Maritime.

The Buccaneers begin Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Sunday, September 25^th by hosting MCLA, as Massachusetts Maritime will also host Salem State and Bridgewater State in league action while hitting the road for MASCAC matches at Framingham State, Worcester State and Westfield State.
