BOSTON, Mass. --  Freshman Krista Iacobucci (Rocky Hill, Conn.) notched 11 kills and seven digs to lead Suffolk to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-14, 25-15 and 25-20 in a match played Tuesday evening at Regan Gymansium.

 

Senior Glamarys Sierra (Carolina, P.R.) added five kills and 14 set assists in the win for the host Rams (2-5), who also received five kills from freshman Jane Buckley (Plaistow, N.H.) as well as four kills and five service aces from junior Caitlyn Mockler (Manchester, Conn.).

 

Senior Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) recorded four kills, seven set assists and three digs in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-4), who also received four kills and eight digs from junior Charleen Klangos (Lowell, Mass.) as well as 10 digs from sophomore Stephanie O’Connor (Westwood, Mass.).

 

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Pine Manor in a non-league doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Suffolk heads to Cambridge, Mass. on Friday afternoon to take on Endicott and Bates in opening round play of the MIT Invitational that begins at 4:00.
