Klangos, Harris Combine For Five Kills As Volleyball Drops MASCAC Decision At Framingham State

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. --  Junior Danielle Girard (Tivoli, N.Y.) notched nine kills and five digs to lead Framingham State to a 3-0 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-3, 25-6 and 25-10 in a league match played Thursday evening at the Athletic & Recreation Center.

 

Sophomore Julia Wan (South Deerfield, Mass.) added eight kills and seven digs in the win for the host Rams (12-2, 2-0 MASCAC), who also received eight kills from sophomore Alycia Rackliffe (Feeding Hills, Mass.), six kills from sophomore Alexandra Coppola (Dracut, Mass.) and 12 set assists from freshman Molly Meehan (Quincy, Mass.).

 

Junior Charleen Klangos (Lowell, Mass.) collected three kills and three digs in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-12, 0-2 MASCAC), who also received a pair of kills from sophomore Melissa Harris (Scituate, Mass.), eight digs from senior Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) and five set assists from sophomore Emma Ethier (Norton, Mass.).

 

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Bridgewater State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference outing on Wednesday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Framingham State heads to New London, Conn. on Saturday afternoon to square off with Tufts and host Connecticut College in a non-league tri-match that begins at 2:00 p.m.
