The host Pride (9-4) scored eight of the first 10 markers of the match, including four by Politis, en route to a 9-2 advantage at the break, and after the visiting Buccaneers (2-12) closed back to within 12-4 on junior Briana Bergstrom’s (Quincy, Mass.) goals with 21:30 remaining in the contest, Regis used five unanswered goals in just under 10 minutes, including two off the stick of freshman Sashae Walls (Everett, Mass.), to seal its triumph.
Sophomore Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass.) added four goals and a pair of assists in the victory for the Pride, who also received two goals from sophomore Andrea Barbosa (Taunton, Mass.) as well as a single tally off the stick of sophomore Lindsey Graver (Bellingham, Mass.).
