BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Kim Gambon (Walpole, Mass.) netted four goals and two assists for six points to lead Husson to a 17-5 non-league college women’s lacrosse victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium.

The visiting Eagles (2-4) scored the first 10 goals of the contest in building a 10-1 advantage at the break, as sophomore Caitlyn Stauffer (Brookfield, Conn.) chipped in with a hat trick and helper to finish with four points for the winners.  Freshman Charlotte Gerhardy (Denver, Colo.) also added a hat trick for Husson, which also received a pair of markers and an assist from freshman Ali Staab (Berlin, Vt.).  Junior Amanda Mora (Stratford, Conn.) collected two assists for the Eagles, who also received a goal and an assist each from junior Steph Eaton (Pittston, Maine) and sophomore Haley Huntington (West Gardiner, Maine) as well as single tallies off the sticks of sophomores Stephanie Roux (Greene, Maine) and Emily Child (Mexico, Maine) along with freshman Siera Kimball (Caribou, Maine).

Junior Briana Bergstrom (Quincy, Mass.) netted a pair of goals in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-5), who also received single markers from junior Kim Courcy (Warwick, R.I.), sophomore Hillary Doucette (Manchester, Mass.) and freshman Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.).  Freshman Kayla Guerrette (Frenchville, Maine) picked up the win in goal with three first half saves for Husson, which also received four second half stops from junior Kaleigh Morneau (Twin Mountain, N.H.).  Freshman Tenley Gillett (Manchester, N.H.) made eight saves over the first 29 minutes of play in net for Massachusetts Maritime, which received a pair of stops from junior Shelagh Hogan (North Andover, Mass.), as the Eagles outshot the Buccaneers by a 33-17 margin for the match.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Boston on Thursday evening to take on Wheelock in a non-league match that begins at 7:30 p.m., while Husson travels to Waterville, Maine on Wednesday evening to take on Colby in a non-league outing that begins at 7:00 p.m.
