Men's Soccer Set For Rigorous 17-Match Schedule In Perry's 22nd Season At Helm This Fall

After enjoying one of the finest seasons in school history last fall, the Massachusetts Maritime men’s soccer team is looking to keep that success going under the guidance of longtime Head Coach Greg Perry this fall, as the Buccaneers are set to take on the challenge of a 17-match regular season schedule against some of the region’s top squads.

Perry, who earned the nod as Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for the third time during his distinguished 22-year tenure in 2013, will lead Massachusetts Maritime into action beginning on Wednesday, September 3rd when the Buccaneers battle Becker in the season opener at Clean Harbors Stadium at 7:00 p.m. EDT.  Perry’s crew will play nine of its 17 contests alongside Cape Cod Canal, as Massachusetts Maritime will entertain MASCAC foes Salem State, Fitchburg State, Bridgewater State and MCLA while also hosting Anna Maria, UMass Boston, national power Brandeis and UMass Boston in home clashes.

The Buccaneers will play four of their first five matches of the new season on the road, including early September dates at Coast Guard, Wentworth, WPI and Nichols, and Perry’s squad also faces October away conference contests at Westfield State, Worcester State and Framingham State in addition to a non-league tilt at Salve Regina.
