Dinghy Sailing Records Pair Of Solid Performances At Yale Short Beach Invitational, Boston University Oberg Trophy

NEW HAVEN, Conn./BOSTON, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime dinghy sailing team posted a pair of solid performances during competition at both the Yale Short Beach Invitational and Boston University Oberg Trophy over the weekend.

 

The Buccaneers finished sixth of 13 teams at Yale, with the “A” boat comprised of sophomore Sean McLaughlin (Fairhaven, Mass.) and freshman Leah Saunders (Rochester, Mass.) and the “B” boat comprised of junior Kaitlyn Nanartowich (Newport, R.I.) and sophomore Priscilla Stoll (Pocasset, Mass.), finishing consistently in the top of the fleet throughout the weekend.

 

The tandems of sophomore Nicholas Pehr (Seabrook, Tex.) and freshman Ryan Davis (North Falmouth, Mass.), along with junior Charles Cahill (Duxbury, Mass.) freshman Alexander Hunt (Baltimore, Md.), comprised the respective “A” and “B” teams at Boston University, where Massachusetts Maritime placed 16th in the final competition.

 

The Buccaneers will compete next weekend at the MIT Tech Invitational and Salve Regina O’Toole Trophy as well as the 73rd Annual New England Frosh Championships, will all three events taking place at 9:30 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
