Sailing Begins Fall Schedule With Competition At Maine Maritime Philip Harman Cup, Penobscot Bay Open

CASTINE, Maine --  The Massachusetts Maritime sailing teams began their respective fall schedules with competition over the weekend at the Maine Maritime Harman Cup and Penobscot Bay Open.

Sophomores Sean McLaughlin (Fairhaven, Mass.), Daniel Barry (Dartmouth, Mass.) and Matthew Ferlotti (Fairfax, Va.), along with freshman Robert Queisser, competed in the Harman Cup off-shore event and led the Buccaneers to a fifth place overall team finish that tied the host Mariners.

The dinghy squad consisting of junior Kaitlyn Nanartowich (Newport, R.I.) and sophomores Andrew Morgan (Jupiter, Fla.), Camille Aiello (Hamden, Conn.) and Priscilla Stoll (Pocasset, Mass.) competed in the two divisions of the Penobscot Bay Open and finished 16th in the final team standings.

Massachusetts Maritime will compete at the Navy Shields Trophy, the Middlebury Northern Cup Series One, the Boston College Harbor Invitational and the Dartmouth Women’s Hurst Bowl next weekend.
