McKissick converted feeds from junior Lauren Zaleski (Avon, Mass.) and sophomore Maria Colon (Wharton, N.J.) on the deciding tally for the visiting Hawks (1-0), as her header from the left side was also her first collegiate marker.  Freshman Madison Taylor (Longmeadow, Mass.) had given the host Buccaneers (0-1) an early 1-0 advantage in the 31st minute when she converted a pass from sophomore Stephanie Hunt (Brookfield, Conn.) for her first collegiate goal, but Becker answered back just 1:25 later when sophomore Tenley Gillett (Manchester, N.H.) forced a turnover and scored from 10 yards out to even matters at the break.  The visitors had five of the six shots in the second half of regulation but were unable to score, setting up McKissick’s heroics in the extra session.

Sophomore Rebecca Carkhuff (Amherst, Mass.) picked up the win in goal with a seven-save effort for Becker, while senior Katie Levesque (Wilmot, N.H.) made eight stops, including a pair of point blank saves in the final minute of regulation on Gillett and sophomore Stephanie Burnell (Mendon, Mass.), to send the contest to overtime for Massachusetts Maritime.  The Hawks outshot the Buccaneers by a 12-10 margin overall, and each squad took five corner kicks for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime travels to Paxton, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on Anna Maria in a non-league match beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Becker heads to Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to tangle with Pine Manor in a non-league outing that also begins at 1:00 p.m.
