FINAL:              MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME 6, PINE MANOR 0

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Aoife Callinan (West Falmouth, Mass.) netted a pair of goals and an assist for five points to lead Massachusetts Maritime to a 6-0 non-league college women’s soccer victory over Pine Manor Wednesday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium.

Freshman Brittany Munson (Tolland, Mass.) gave the host Buccaneers (4-8) the only goal they would need 7:48 into the match when she converted a feed from fellow freshman Madison Taylor (Longmeadow, Mass.) for her first collegiate marker, and sophomore Stephanie Hunt (Brookfield, Conn.) extended that margin to 2-0 in the 26th minute on a pass from Callinan, whose penalty kick conversion in the 32nd minute staked Massachusetts Maritime to a 3-0 lead at the break.  Hunt’s second of the night (and sixth of the season) on a feed from sophomore Alexandra Sheeran (Weymouth, Mass.) in the 53rd minute gave the Buccaneers a 4-0 edge, and the hosts closed out the scoring with a pair of tallies that came 3:20 apart, as junior Ashley Solari (Sandwich, Mass.) collected her first marker of the season in the 63rd minute before setting up Callinan’s second of the contest (fifth of the fall) in the 66th minute to account for the final margin.

Senior Katie Levesque (Wilmot, N.H.) picked up her fourth win and third shutout of the season by making one save in goal for Massachusetts Maritime, as the triumph was her 13th career clean sheet.  Freshman Jesta Gilmore (Yuma, Ariz.) made 19 stops in the setback for the visiting Gators (0-13), as the Buccaneers outshot Pine Manor by a 29-2 margin overall (25-1 on goal) and took all 14 corner kicks for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Framingham, Mass. on Saturday morning to take on Framingham State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference outing that begins at 11:00 a.m., while Pine Manor closes out its 2015 campaign on Friday afternoon by traveling to Medford, Mass. to square off with Fisher in a non-league match beginning at 4:00 p.m.
