FINAL:              MASSACHUSETTS MARITIME 3, DANIEL WEBSTER 0

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Freshman Madison Taylor (Longmeadow, Mass.) scored a pair of goals to lead Massachusetts Maritime to a 3-0 non-league college women’s soccer victory over Daniel Webster Monday evening at Clean Harbors Stadium.

Taylor gave the host Buccaneers (2-2) the only tally they would need in the 18th minute of play on a feed from junior MacKenzie Wilson (Plymouth, Mass.), and she extended that margin to 2-0 with 4:40 remaining in the opening half on an assist from sophomore Alexandra Sheeran (Weymouth, Mass.) for her team-leading fourth marker of the season.  Junior Aoife Callinan (West Falmouth, Mass.) closed out the scoring for Massachusetts Maritime just 6:15 after intermission, as her unassisted goal came off a deflection in the middle.

Senior Katie Levesque (Wilmot, N.H.) made one save to record her second straight shutout and 12th career clean sheet in the triumph for the Buccaneers, while freshman Stephanie Evans (Knoxville, Iowa) made 16 stops in the setback for the visiting Eagles (0-3).  Massachusetts Maritime took 26 of the 27 shots on the evening (19-1 on goal), and the hosts held a 15-2 advantage in corner kicks for the contest.

Massachusetts Maritime heads to New London, Conn. on Wednesday evening to take on Coast Guard in a non-league outing that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Daniel Webster hosts Thomas in a non-league match on Saturday afternoon in Nashua, N.H. beginning at Noon.
