BOURNE, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime sailing team hosted the Great Herring Pond Regatta on Sunday afternoon, as the Buccaneers posted a 13th place standing in the event that was cut short by a day due to wind conditions over the weekend.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Nanartowich (Newport, R.I.) and freshman Sean McLaughlin (Fairhaven, Mass.) raced the Massachusetts Maritime “A” entry to a 13th place finish with a score of 105 points, while freshman Daniel Barry (Dartmouth, Mass.) and Andrew Morgan skippered the Buccaneer “B” entry to a 14th place showing with 97 points in the competition, which was won by Boston University.

Massachusetts Maritime returns to action next weekend with competition at the Navy MacMillan Cup, the Harvard Oberg Trophy and the Southern Maine Wellahan Trophy.
