BOURNE, Mass./NEW LONDON, Conn. --  The Massachusetts Maritime sailing team had a busy and successful Easter weekend of competition, as the Buccaneers recorded a pair of top seven team finishes in hosting the Admiral Aylmer’s Trophy on Herring Pond as well as at the Coast Guard Kruger Cup.

Massachusetts Maritime placed seventh in its home event in the Admiral Alymer’s Trophy, and the contingent of seniors Graham Philpot (Laconia, N.H.), Jeffrey Gawrys (Marblehead, Mass.), Jason Pollock (Cataumet, Mass.) and Patrick Pica (Peabody, Mass.) placed fifth of nine teams competing at the Coast Guard Kruger Cup.

The Buccaneers will be back in action next weekend at the Boston College Savin Hill Championships as well as the Harvard Dinghy Championships.
