WORCESTER, Mass. --  Junior Kristen Koles (Billerica, Mass.) registered six kills and eight service aces to lead Worcester State to a 3-0 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-10, 25-7 and 25-9 in a league match played at Lancer Gymnasium.

Senior Juliana Tyo (Pepperell, Mass.) and junior Robyn Linscott (Weymouth, Mass.) each collected five kills and combined for three service aces in the triumph for the host Lancers (12-14, 4-2 MASCAC), who also receive 22 set assists and a service ace from senior Joanne Grenier (Orange, Mass.).

Junior Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) registered three kills and six digs in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-25, 0-5 MASCAC), who also received a pair of kills from freshman Kelsey Pelletier (Bristol, Conn.) and four set assists from freshman Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Lesley in a non-league outing on Thursday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Worcester State heads to Plymouth, N.H. on Saturday afternoon for a non-league tri-match with host Plymouth State and Rhode Island College that begins at 1:00 p.m.
