BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Junior Kelsey Twarog (Barkhamsted, Conn.) registered five kills, five set assists and a pair of service aces to lead Roger Williams to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime by game scores of 25-4, 25-6 and 25-5 in a match played Thursday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Freshman Hannah Koennecke (Cazenovia, N.Y.) added four kills for the visiting Hawks (16-3) in their seventh straight triumph, while senior Marilu Gonzalez-Yanez (Los Angeles, Calif.) added four kills and three service aces.  Sophomore Alexa Armenti (Dix Hills, N.Y.) collected 16 set assists and a pair of service aces for Roger Williams, which also received three kills each from junior Abby Cunningham (Catasauqua, Pa.) and freshman Lauren Broderick (Centerport, N.Y.).

Junior Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) notched a pair of kills in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-16), who also received eight digs from junior Laura Basile (Cambridge, Mass.) and seven digs from sophomore Michaela Garrity (Tiverton, R.I.).  Freshman Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.) chipped in with three digs and two set assists for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received a kill from freshman Kelsey Pelletier (Bristol, Conn.).

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Maine-Presque Isle and WPI in a non-league tri-match on Saturday morning at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 11:00 a.m., while Roger Williams hosts Gordon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match at 11:00 a.m. and Coast Guard in a non-league contest at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in Bristol, R.I.
