BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Sophomore Andressa Fernandes (Framingham, Mass.) notched nine kills and six service aces to lead Framingham State to a 3-0 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Tuesday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Freshman Ashley Nee (Hanson, Mass.) added seven kills in the triumph for the visiting Rams (6-3, 1-0 MASCAC), who also received four kills from sophomore Erin Connolly (Lakeville, Mass.).  Freshman Morgan Drew (North Easton, Mass.) collected 22 set assists for Framingham State, which also received 12 digs from freshman Kayla Bertrand (Agawam, Mass.) and three service aces from junior Courtney Moylan (Bourne, Mass.).

Freshman Kelsey Pelletier (Bristol, Conn.) registered three kills in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-8, 0-1 MASCAC), who also received three digs from freshman Meghan Weir (North Andover, Mass.) and four set assists from freshman Deb Langley (Abington, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Throggs Neck, N.Y. on Saturday evening to take on New York Maritime in opening round play of the Second Annual Maritime Classic that begins at 7:00 p.m., while Framingham State travels to Newport, R.I. on Thursday evening to take on Salve Regina in a non-league match that also begins at 7:00 p.m.
