Women's Soccer Celebrates Seniors Before Season Finale

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- On Friday evening, the Buccaneers hosted Worcester State in their season finale at Clean Harbors Stadium. Prior to the match, the Bucs celebrated the careers of seniors Ari DameryJackie Damery, and captains Julia Quindley and Julia Podchaiski. In the game, the Buccaneers fel to the Lancers by a final of 4-1.

Abigail Lelievre scored the long Maritime goal in the 64th minute directly off of a corner kick from Podchaiski who was credited with the assist. Goalkeeper Reagan Kerecz mad 15 saves, a number of them acrobatic, while allowing the four goals in the loss.

Cammie Arnold, Ralyn Callahan, Haley Samara and Michaela O'Brien all scored for the Lancers. Addison Enos, Haley Mignon, and Callahan were all credited with assists in the match. Goalkeeper Mallory Dupuis made three saves and allowed the Bucs goal in the win.

Arnold opened the scoring in the seventh minute on a pass from Enos to give her team a 1-0 advantage. In the 26th minute, Worcester scored twice on Callahan and Samara's goals to take a 3-0 lead that they took to the half. 

Down 3-0 in the second half, the Bucs earned a corner and Podchaiski delivered the ball to Lelievre at the top of the 18 that she buried for the Maritime goal. O'Brien scored her goal with 45 second left on the clock to make it 4-1 Worcester.
