Women's Soccer: Bucs Lose Tight Conference Match with Salem

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass -- Maritime hosted Salem State on Saturday afternoon with both teams coming in 0-1 in conference play. An early goal from Salem was the difference as the Vikings went home with a 1-0 win.

The Buccaneers took 11 shots in the game, four on target. Ally Reddish took three shots in the game, none on target though she had a header late in the game that nearly tied the game at 1-1. Ariel Damery, Julia QuindleyJackie Damery, and Julia Podchaiski each had a shot on target. Freshman goalkeeper Brady Deschamps allowed the goal and made seven saves in net. In relief in the second half with Deschamps playing striker, Reagan Kerecz made seven saves for the Bucs.

Brenna Paquette scored the only goal of the game in the fourth minute. Cassandra Harrington assisted on the Paquette goal. Goalkeeper Lily Pfefferle made four saves in the win.

The Buccaneers are on the road for their next match against Eatern Nazarene on Tuesday, September 27th at 7pm.
