WORCESTER, Mass. --  The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions to host WPI and Pine Manor in a non-league tri-match played Saturday afternoon at Harrington Auditorium.

Senior Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) registered eight kills, six digs and a service ace on the day for the Buccaneers (1-15), who fell to the host Engineers (13-2) by game scores of 25-8, 25-10 and 25-10 and to the Gators (5-6) by game scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 25-14. 

Sophomore Laura Basile (Cambridge, Mass.) added a career-high six kills and five digs for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received four kills and five digs from sophomore Suzanne Marino (Kings Park, N.Y.) as well as three kills each from sophomore Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) and freshman Hannah Jette (Fiskdale, Mass.).  Senior Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.) finished the day with 16 set assists and five digs for the Buccaneers.

Massachusetts Maritime travels to Westfield, Mass. on Tuesday evening to take on Westfield State in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference match that begins at 7:00 p.m., while WPI hosts Coast Guard in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference outing on Tuesday evening at Harrington Auditorium that also begins at 7:00 p.m.  Pine Manor hosts Becker in a non-league match on Thursday evening in Chestnut Hill, Mass. that begins at 7:00 p.m.
