BOSTON, Mass. -- The Massachusetts Maritime volleyball team dropped a 3-0 non-league decision to Suffolk on Wednesday evening by game scores of 25-11, 25-8 and 25-10 in a match played at Regan Gymnasium.
Sophomore Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) registered a pair of kills and two service aces in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (0-6), who also received a combined 22 set assists from senior Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.) and sophomore Joanne Robery (Plainville, Mass.).
The host Rams notched their first triumph of the season in improving to 1-6 overall.
Massachusetts Maritime hosts Pine Manor in a non-league match on Monday evening at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 7:00 p.m., while Suffolk hosts Curry in a non-league outing next Thursday evening at Regan Gymnasium that also begins at 7:00 p.m.
