BROOKLINE, Mass. --  Freshman Jessy Touron (Brockton, Mass.) registered 10 kills and four digs to lead Newbury to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Tuesday evening by game scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-19 in a match played at Hellenic Gym.

Senior Kerri McAuley (Middleboro, Mass.) added seven kills in the triumph for the host Nighthawks (3-5), who also received 20 set assists and six digs from sophomore Regina Sibilia (Agawam, Mass.).

Sophomore Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) recorded three kills and five digs in the setback for the visiting Buccaneers (1-11), who also received a pair of kills, two digs and two aces from senior Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.), nine digs from sophomore Suzanne Marino (Kings Park, N.Y.) and five set assists from senior Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime hosts Worcester State and MCLA in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference tri-match on Saturday morning at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center beginning at 11:00 a.m., while Newbury heads to Worcester, Mass. on Thursday evening for a non-league outing with Worcester State that begins at 6:00 p.m.
