BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. --  Sophomore Alie Johnston (Winnipeg, Man.) registered six kills, eight digs and 12 service aces to lead Pine Manor to a 3-0 non-league college volleyball victory over Massachusetts Maritime Monday evening by game scores of 25-6, 25-14 and 25-12 in a match played at the Clean Harbors Athletic Center.

Freshman Ashley Carusone (Nashua, N.H.) added five kills and nine digs in the triumph for the visiting Gators (2-1), who also received 11 set assists and seven digs from freshman Megan Patch (Bethpage, Tenn.) as well as five blocks and six service aces from freshman Imara Jackson (Malden, Mass.).

Freshman Kelly Lyons (Pocasset, Mass.) notched three kills, six digs and a pair of service aces in the setback for the host Buccaneers (0-7), who also received three kills and three digs each from senior Victoria Presutti (Marshfield, Mass.) and sophomore Suzanne Marino (Kings Park, N.Y.).  Sophomore Alex Burgess-Chrost (Leominster, Mass.) added a pair of blocks for Massachusetts Maritime, which also received a combined 12 set assists from senior Allison Condino (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Joanne Robery (Plainville, Mass.).

Massachusetts Maritime heads to Bridgewater, Mass. on Wednesday evening to take on Bridgewater State in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams beginning at 6:00 p.m., while Pine Manor travels to North Dartmouth, Mass. on Thursday evening to square off with UMass Dartmouth in a non-league match that begins at 7:00 p.m.
