WORCESTER, Mass -- The Buccaneers traveled to Worcester to take on the Lancers in the final regular season game of 2021. The strong Worcester squad took down the Bucs 4-0.

For The Bucs

• Captains Julia Quindley (Plymouth, MA) and Shannon Elwood (Kingston, MA) took all of the shots for the Bucs, including two on target.
• In her second appearance in goal this season, junior Jackie Damery (Plympton, MA) made eight saves and allowed four goals on 12 shots faced.

For The Lancers

• Fiona Weir, Megan Gurlitz, Ali Maldonado, and Leah Fitzgerald scored the goald for the hosts.
• Goalkeeper Ashley Spellman made two saves on two shots faced in the shutout win.

How It Happened

The Buccaneers defense held strong against the number two seed in the MASCAC, keeping them off the scoreboard until the 21st minute. That's when Fitzgerald scored her goal. Maldonado followed that up with her goal nine minutes later to make it 2-0 Lancers. Before the first half ended, Guriltz scored to make it 3-0 Worcester at the break.

In the second half, the Bucs took all of their shots but could not get on the board. Late in the match, in the 85th minute, Weir scored her goal to seal the 4-0 victory for the Lancers.
