PAXTON, Mass -- The AMCATS scored two second half goals Monday evening to beat the Bucs 2-0 in Paxton in a non-conference matchup between the teams.

  • Goalkeeper Alice Yokabaskas picked up her first win of the season making seven saves on seven shots faced.

How It Happened

It was a very close first half with both teams having their opportunities to score. There were 11 shots taken between the two teams, neither could break the scoreless tie before the halftime whistle.

In the second half, the AMCATS nearly doubled their shot total while the Bucs matched their from the first half, taking 11 shots and five shots respectively. 15 minutes in to the second half, Baker took a throughball pass from Myers and got on the scoresheet in the 60th minute to make it 1-0 AMCATS. 27 minuts later, with the Bucs unable to bring the score back even, Baker took a shot from 30 yards out, putting the ball past the outstretched Durgin to seal game, 2-0, in favor of Anna Maria.

The Buccaneers are off until Saturday when they will travel to Framingham State for a MASCAC clash with the Rams at 11am.
