SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- At the end of the DIII New England meet on May 7th, the Buccaneers track and field team though their season was over. Instead, the squeaked a relay team into the NEICAAA Championships at Bryant University. 

The team of Demetri Boozer, Anthony Childs, Steven Westgate, and Ja'iel Johnson competed against the best 4x100 relay teams in the region. With 21 teams in the field, the Buccaneers finished 16th with a time of 43.69 seconds, breaking the previous program record of 44.31 seconds set in 2013. 

The Buccaneers track and field season comes to an end with the strong showing at Bryant.
