Largest Women's Team in Program History Opens Season at Bridgewater State

BRIDGEWATER, MA -- With a roster of 11 women on Saturday, the largest in program history, the Buccaneers women's track team competed at Bridgewater State in the 2022 season opening meet. Setting a solid foundation and consistency in the 3000 meter steeplechase, the Maritime women's track team has a lot to build on moving forward in 2022 and beyond.

Camryn Boyce, a mainstay in the 3000 meter steeplechase, finished second in the event on Saturday with a time of 14:06.55. 

In the 100 meter hurdles, Ashley Brennan finished in 11th place with a final time of 17.94 second, .33 second faster than her first heat earlier in the day. Alyssa Grieco finished three spots behind Brennan in 14th with a time of 18.24 seconds.

Nicole Salvatore took part in the javelin throw, finishing in 27th with a throw of 14.19 meters. 

The Buccaneers will travel to UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, April 2nd for the Corsair Classic.
