For the first 30 minutes of the second half, Maritime could not break through. Staying on their front foot and attacking hard, their hardwork paid off. On a ball from Shane MacNeil across the face of goal, the ball landed on the foot of McNeil Somers who buried it in the back of the net to tie the game in the 78th minute. Looking overtime in the eye, the Buccaneers decided to make the long trip home after playing just the regulation 90 minutes. In the 86th minute, MacNeil, crashing the net, received the ball from an outstanding cross from Vincent and fired the ball in to the left side of the net to give the Bucs the lead and eventually the win, 2-1.
