Maritime outshot Suffolk in the first half in terms of total shots and shots on target. Suffolk took their 1-0 advantage in to the half time break.

In the second half, it took five minutes before the Rams extended their lead to two over the Bucs with a goal from Podziewski in the 51st minute. After another 17 minutes the hosts found the back of the net once again, this time on the second goal of the match for Varela, making it 3-0 Rams with just over 20 minutes to play. In the 80th minute, Phelps scored an unassisted goal to make the score 4-0, which would end up being the final at the full-time whistle.

In the game, the Bucs outshot the Rams 12-10 though they fell short in the shots on goal battle with five to the Rams 6. There were six corners between the teams in the game, four for Suffolk, and two for the Buccaneers. The Bucs were presented the only booking of the evening, a yellow to Carey in the 81st minute.
